PDL's Passive Infrared Sensors (PIRs) offer a
combination of security, safety and convenience for both indoor and
outdoor applications. The entry range of fittings, designed
specifically for the Australasian market, has been manufactured to
stringent PDL specifications and quality standards.
The units' advanced passive infrared componentry
reacts to changes in heat. Anyone entering the PIR field of view will
activate the connected lighting, yet the units themselves are compact
and unobtrusive.
Peace of Mind
When your home or business is left unattended, PDL's PIR
sensors keep a constant vigil over your property making this a
convenient, cost efficient form of SECURITY. When you arrive home late
at night or visitors call, PDL's PIR sensors switch on automatically to
light the way providing both added SAFETY and welcome CONVENIENCE.
Cost Savings
Because PDL's PIR sensors switch on and off automatically and
deactivate indaylight, there is no need to leave a light on while you
are out for an evening, ot to keep premises illuminated at night. This
means there are cost savings to be made in electricity bills.
Various Mounting Options
PDL's PIR range has been designed to cover every type of
indoor and outdoor application. Some are suitable for either wall
(vertical) or eave (horizontal) mounting, others have been designed to
cover both situations.
IP44 Weather Protection
PDL PIR sensors specifically designed for outdoor situations
are dust and weather protected to International Protection Ratings IP44
or IP54. This means they can be installed outdoors with confidence.
Protect the sensor from the extremes of weather by sheltering under an
eave if possible for added weather protection.
12 Month Product
Warranty
All PDL PIR sensors have a 12 month warranty from date of
purchase, provided the unit is installed according to local wiring
regulations and PDL's installation instructions. This warranty covers
faulty materials and factory workmanship only and is void on any unit
which has been tampered with, damaged by accident, improper operation or
incorrect installation. In the event of a warranty claim, the product
must be returned to the point of purchase with proof of purchase.
"Light On"
Time Setting
All PDL PIR sensors have TIME adjustment for the "Light
On" period, which can be preset to turn a light on for
approximately 20 seconds to 10 minutes. The light will remain on for as
long as you continue moving in the field of view. The sensor can be
overridden and the light switched on manually whenever it is needed.
Sensitivity (SENS)
The Sensitivity control is on all models except the 97H360.
The Sensitivity adjustment allows the owner to tune the sensor to their
own specific requirements. The Sensitivity adjustment affects the
maximum or minimum range and the amount of heat movement (infra-red
radiation) required to trigger the sensor.
Light Level (LUX)
All PDL PIR Sensors have either a pre-set LUX level
(non-adjustable) or a fully adjustable LUX control. The sensors with a
pre-set LUC level are calibrated to start operating at dusk and stop
operating at dawn (when the light level is greater or less than 40 LUX).
Models with a fully adjustable LUX control are available
for precise control of the light level at which the sensor should begin
to operate.
