    Celebrating 80 Years of PDL

We couldn’t have done it without you!

PDL would like to acknowledge and thank all the customers and partners who have helped us to reach this incredible milestone.

Prize winner donates Golden Ticket to a good cause

To celebrate 80 years in business, PDL by Schneider Electric ran a Golden Ticket giveaway for their electrical customers through the wholesaler network to thank them for the support they had received over the years.

As part of the promotion, PDL were giving away the ultimate $10,000 road trip to one lucky winner. To be in with the chance to win, all they had to do was purchase PDL Iconic™ product from their local wholesaler during the promotional period.

Garth Tremeer from Tremeer Electrical Services in Auckland was the lucky winner who picked up the major prize after he discovered the Golden Ticket in a PDL Iconic™ rotary dimmer. After the initial rush of the win, almost instantly Garth decided to kindly donate his prize to the Starship Foundation – a social-profit organisation that raises funds to better care for young patients while they are in hospital.

According to Garth, “I have no need to travel at the moment, and there are many people out there who need the money more than I do, so it makes sense to donate to such a worthy cause”.

Garth collected the prize from Schneider Electric’s Executive General Manager, Ray Dunn earlier in the week and delivered it to the Starship Foundation later that day.

According to Ray, “The whole team at Schneider Electric have been touched by Garth’s generosity and we are pleased to see this prize go towards an organisation who does so much for the community.”

In addition to the major prize, four runner-ups got the chance to ride in the iconic PDL Mustang at Hampton Downs in October.

    These winners were:

    ·         Alan Lowndes of Wellington

    ·         Marc Sintes of Christchurch

    ·         Riki Parkinson of Hamilton

    ·         Callum Mcgregor of the North Shore

Thanks to everyone who supported our promotion, and helped us to celebrate the history and future of PDL by Schneider Electric.

    Celebrating a history of innovation

In 1937, a Christchurch company called PLASTIC & DIECASTING LTD commenced manufacturing metal and plastic products. Under the direction of Bob Stewart - an electrician by trade, the company produced a range of innovative and high quality electrical accessories, starting the legacy of PDL in the electrical industry
