Video: How do you remove the coil on TeSys LC1F F series contactors?

Issue:
How do you remove the coil on TeSys LC1F F series contactors?

Product Line:
IEC Contactors and Starters

Environment:
TeSys F Line Contactors and Accessories

Cause:
Would like to remove the coil from an F line contactor

Resolution:
  • Ensure power is off
  • Remove wires to the coil
  • Locate the blue or orange button* at the edge of the metal enclosure on the line side of the contactor
  • Be sure there is sufficient clearance beside the contactor to allow the coil to slide out of its location. The coil assembly is the full width of the contactor.
  • Locate the slot in that blue or orange button.
  • Depress and hold the button with a flat bladed screwdriver.
  • Slide the button toward the outside of the enclosure. It is part of the coil assembly. The coil will move with it.
To replace the coil, slide the replacement coil into place. The button should pop into the cutout on the coil enclosure. This action will securely lock the coil into the proper position.

*Current design devices will have a blue button, the older design devices have orange buttons.

The following video demonstrates how to locate the full part number on the LR2D series overload relays:

Can I control my Wiser system devices when not at home or do I need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as my Hub?

When you are not at home you can use the app to remotely control the devices assigned to your Home via mobile data/4G, provided that the devices are powered, connected to the home Wi-Fi/Zigbee network and have internet access through the modem/router. It is important that both your phone and the Hub have internet access

If you cannot control your devices when not at home, it may be that your phone or the home network is not able to connect to the Internet or the devices/hub are not currently powered.

Do the Altivar and Altivar Process Drives have two different run inputs?

Issue:
Where do you land run command wires on the AC Drives, and can you have more than one?

Product Line:
Altivar Drive, Process Drive

Environment:
All models and serial numbers

Cause:
None

Resolution:
These drives only have a single run command terminal.  Logic input 1 (LI1) is the default run forward input when operating in 2-wire terminal control, and it cannot be changed.  When in 3-wire control, LI2 is the run forward input, and it cannot be changed. The Run command can also come from Communications (Modbus, CANOpen, Ethernet, etc.) or the run button on the keypad can be used to run the motor when in HMI (keypad) control.
