What can prevent the drive tripping on input phase fault?

Issue:
The drive does not trip when an input phase is removed.

1.  Parameter IPL is set to no
Depending on the device type:
1)  Input phase loss works by detecting the ripple in the DC Bus. If the load is not high enough, it can't detect an input phase fault. 
2)  Input phase loss works with the input phase detection on the rectifier circuit (ATV61/71/600/900/MX eco/MX pro) if the rectifier is thyristor controlled (power approximately >22kW).
       
Resolution:
1. Set Parameter IPL to yes
2. Provide additional motor load.

iTH (Motor Thermal Current) - 0.2 to 1.5 In (1) - According to drive rating
CLI (Current Limitation) - 0 to 1.5 In (1)

Can I connect more than one VW3A1101 keypad to an ATV61, ATV71, ATV32, ATV312, or ATV212 series drive?

Cause:
Customer would like to have a VW3A1101 installed near the drive, and another VW3A1101 installed at a remote location, both connected to the same drive.

Resoultion:
This is not possible. The VW3A1101 keypad establishes a Modbus RTU connnection to the drive, with the keypad being the Modbus master. It is not possible to have multiple Modbus master devices connected to a single drive.

Resolution:
AC variable frequency drives are commonly used with a variable speed drive system. For applications that require faster deceleration rates, or where motor speeds are exceeding the synchronous speed set by the output frequency of the drive ( an overhauling load condition), a braking resistor is required. Braking resistors increase the braking torque capability of a variable frequency drive, producing faster and more controlled braking. The resistor dissipates regenerated power to keep the bus voltage from exceeding the rated limit of the drive.
