This customer support bulletin identifies a potential issue with ION Enterprise 5.6 B447 and 448 when upgrading to Service Pack 2, and explains the resolution.
There is a problem with the ION E 5.6 SP2 Installer when executed against builds 447 and 448 of ION Enterprise 5.6. The problem results in an upgrade installation failure when run on a client machine, secondary server or database server. The upgrade of a primary server will succeed When the SP2 install fails, the customer is left with the pre-existing version (5.6 or 5.6 SP1). This rollback will not appear to impact the function of the client, secondary or database server, but will leave the customer with a system where the primary is using a different version than the other machines; an unsupported configuration which may result in data and connection errors. We have determined that the stated builds were delivered during May, June and July 2007. The issue does not affect build 449, which has been in release since July 31st, 2007.
A modified version of the service pack will be available for download from the website by October 13th, 2008, at 12:00 PM GMT. Any installation of Service Pack 2, whether by the customer or a proxy on behalf of the customer, must use the modified version. The modified version will work with build 449 as well.
The following workaround is available for customers unable to wait for the modified version of the service pack. However, as the workaround involves shipment and end-customer delivery of a CD, it is likely that downloadable service pack will be available by the time the workaround can be implemented. In addition, there are steps which should be taken in the event the customer needs to upgrade a database server, and we strongly suggest tech support be contacted if this is the case.
- Verify the customer is using build 447 or 448 of ION Enterpise 5.6, as the following is not necessary if they are using build 449. To verify, open the file "ION Enterprise5.6Setup.log" on the client, secondary or database server. Note: If you have previously installed Service Pack 1, open the file called "ION Enterprise_5.6_SetupLog(1).log" instead. The build will be listed on the 15th line, and will resemble "OK (0) ION Enterprise 5.6 build 448".
- Request a new ION Enterprise 5.6 CD via PMC Technical Support. All new versions use build 449.
- Upon delivery, uninstall ION Enterprise 5.6.
- Re-Install using the delivered CD.
- Install Service Pack 2. At this point, the version of the service pack is not of consequence, as there is no issue with build 449.

The PME 8.2 Power Quality offers the option to use the SEMI F47 curve. If this is used, you will notice that the curve is incorrect.
The SEMI F47 standard allows a 50% voltage sag for up to 0.2 seconds. The curve incorrectly uses 0.02 seconds, rather than 0.2 seconds as the tolerance for a 50% sag.

My Network Management Card (NMC) is losing SNMPv3 connectivity after a certain amount of time but other communication protocols (web, FTP, SSH, Telnet, SNMPv1, etc) continue to work properly.

An issue has been identified with the SNMPv3 task on Network Management Card 1 and 2 based devices. SNMPv3 communication will be lost after approximately 49 days and 17 hours. The NMC will continue to run normally, with the exception of the SNMP process, which will not run.
Update (July, 2016): Specific to NMC1 products, this issue had previously been fixed for AOS 3.7.3 and higher. The maximum SNMPv3 uptime allowed was modfied from 49.7 days to 497 days. At the 497 uptime day mark, assuming the management uptime had reached this point, the Network Management Card interface would have had to be rebooted though the web, CLI, or SNMPv1 interfaces in order to regain SNMPv3 communication. NMC2 AOS v5.1.X also contained a fix to avoid an SNMPv3 communication loss completely.
With NMC1 AOS v3.9.2 and higher, this issue has been fully resolved and the 497 uptime limitation has been lifted and SNMPv3 communication through StruxureWare Data Center Expert or any third party SNMPv3 NMS will not be affected after 497 days of uptime. This AOS (or newer) will be released for different firmware applications in the coming months which are available at https://www.apc.com/tt/en/tools/download/. Certain applications are available immediately, such as Rack PDU.
The Concept Application Loader (372 SPU 477 01 V26. ) does allow the importing of .ASC files through the Concept Converter. It also allows the user to open a .prz (archived) project. The execloader is also included.

It is a stripped down version of Concept with no on-line editing capability, no saving of an application, no changes to the configuration, and no viewing of the application code. The Reference Data Editor will be available. For projects that are protected the reference data editor will be available in read only mode.

By setting the 30 second start voltage higher than the actual battery voltage, the auto-start function can be tested
as long as no grid voltage is passing thru AC1, otherwise the AGS will not be called upon to start.
Temporarily disable charge controllers to allow the battery voltage to rest. Make sure no sensitive electronics
are needed during this time because they may see the grid interruption and reset.
Make sure to set the 30 sec start voltage back down to a reasonable level after

Clarify the dimension of ION 8650 meter switchboard (285 x 228 x 163) on page-4 under mechanical characteristics of ION8650 datasheet. The (285 x 228 x 163) dimensions are not mentioned on page-8 of ION8650 datasheet.

"If you double-click on a managed device within InfraStruXure Manager and receive the error below then please follow the steps outlined to correct the issue.
InfraStruXure Manager encountered an error attempting to connect to the device. Error Code 407, Hex: 00000197.
This error is caused by not configuring the Proxy settings within the InfraStruXure (ISX) Manager. Verify that the ""Proxy Enabled"" box is checked and that the correct ""Host"" and ""Port Number"" have been entered. Make sure that the Username and Password for the proxy is setup correctly in ISX Manager. The proxy settings are set under the ""System Management-->Network--->Proxy Settings"" menu.
Finally, make sure that the proxy server allows connection from the network segment where ISX Manager and the APC devices are installed. The proxy settings are set under the ""System Management-->Network--->Proxy Settings"" menu.
DC under-voltage shutdown (immediate) occurs if DC voltage is below 16 VDC (24 V system) or 32 VDC (48 V system).
XW Series Inverter Charger
Check for the correct battery voltage at the inverter's DC input terminals. Check for an external DC load on the batteries. Check condition of batteries and recharge if possible.
The fault clears and the inverter restarts when DC voltage reaches VLBCO+2 V (24 V system) and VLBCO+4 V (48 V system).
