How do you remove the cover from the Solis and Solis T range once it’s clipped on?
Hide ShowThe cover can be carefully removed by levering from the wall to release the metal clips.
How should the Solis & Solis T Series be cleaned?
Hide ShowSwitches and Sockets should only be cleaned using a detergent solution mixed with warm water (Damp cloth).
Detergent-impregnated wipes may also be used as a quick and convenient cleaning option.
Homeowners should NOT use household cleaning sprays as chemical sprays can attack the plastic materials and cause them to fail over time.
Do not use any abrasive materials to clean or wipe down the products as they can permanently damage the appearance of the surfaces.
Will the 40 Series C-Bus master and slave modules fit into Solis and Solis T Series?
Hide ShowYes – C-Bus Push Buttons are the same interface as Wiser Push Buttons and will operate using the Wiser Adaptor. Unfortunately, the LED will not operate and therefore not recommended.
If you want to use the C-Bus mechs it is recommended to switch off the LED as it will not function using the adaptor. Follow instructions to turn the LED off.
Can the Solis and Solis T range accommodate any larger amperage Cooker Switches for Induction Hobs etc.?
Hide ShowNo – The only switches available to fit Solis and Solis T series are Iconic Mechanism variants/ 40 series. The largest switching amperage in this range is the 40M32 at 32A. If larger switching capability is required, then you will need to use a Contactor or a Cooker Switch from another range.
Can you use the standard universal Push Button Dimmer in the Solis and Solis T range?
Hide ShowYes – The standard Iconic Push Button Dimmer can be used with the Solis and Solis T range, but it is recommended to switch off the LED as it will not function using the Adaptor. Follow instructions to turn the LED off. It cannot be used with the Rotary adaptor.
Does the Solis T range of Metallic Plates require Earthing?
Hide ShowNo – The metallic plates are insulated from any wiring or potential wiring from touching the metal plate.
Are there any Pictograms or Engraved Buttons available in the Solis or Solis T range?
Hide ShowNo, we only offer the “Cooker” push button with marking.
Are the Solis and Solis T covers (faceplates) sold separately?
Hide ShowNo, there are no current plans to sell them separately.
Can you use the 3-position switches with Solis or Solis T range?
Hide ShowNo – Unfortunately the 3-position switches, 49M and P49MBPR, do not fit into the Solis or Solis T range.
If blind control is required, you can use 2 x 40MBPRL mechanisms using one for UP and one for DOWN.
I have ceiling fans in my home, can you use the 4-position rotary mechanisms with Solis or Solis T?
Hide ShowNo – Unfortunately the 4-position rotary mechanisms, 40RSM3 and 40CSFM, do not fit into the Solis range.
If you require ceiling fan control you will need to use the Wiser ZigBee fan controller, 41ECSFWMZ-VW, and either the toggle or push-button Wiser adaptor.
I want to connect the Push Button LED adaptor to Wiser ZigBee Dimmer instead of the Wiser rotary adaptor. Is this advisable?
Hide ShowThis is not advisable when the desired connection is for the Push Button LED adaptor to reflect status of the load as the LED won’t fully turn off. However, Push Button LED adaptor can be used with dimmer when always on LED indication is desired.
We recommend using the Wiser ZigBee dimmer with the rotary adaptor.
How can I dim the load using rotary Wiser dimmer adaptor in Solis or Solis T series?
Hide ShowDimming the load can be achieved by either rotating or long pressing the knob of the rotary adaptor.
Rotating the knob clockwise will dim the load up and anticlockwise will dim the load down. Long pressing the knob will also dim the load up/down which will be dependent on the previous direction of dimming.
Can I mix the Solis and Solis T Series socket cover plate?
Hide ShowNo, even if the cover plates are the same dimensions, using the alternate cover plate for the sockets will result in the product becoming non-compliant.
Will there be a cut out template for the Solis and Solis T range?
Hide ShowYes, cardboard templates will be provided as part of the product packaging.
I’m struggling to pair my Wiser ZigBee dimmer to the app via the Solis rotary Wiser dimmer adaptor, what should I do?
Hide ShowIf you are struggling to pair the device, factory reset the Wiser Dimmer and try pairing again. Factory reset is achieved by short pressing the knob 3 times (<0.5s) then long press the knob once (>10s). After 10s the LED will blink red, then re-lease the knob. Completion of factory reset will be indicated by observing the white LED on adaptor blinking for 8 seconds.
Can I use the rotary Wiser dimmer adaptor with 2AX and 10AX Wiser ZigBee Switches?
