Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a Reefer or Container socket available in the PDL 56 series?

Hide Show

A Container(Reefer) socket can be ordered with part number PDL56SO432CCEELEGY, These will suit standard 56 series enclosures.

What is the product code for the spare DIN rail and brackets kit for 56CB4 covers?

Hide Show

The product code for the spare DIN rail and brackets kit for 56CB4 would be PDL1CB100.

But those are discontinued now. See below link.

Can the PDL356PB2MBTW-VW be configured to have scheduled switching?

Hide Show

No, the PDL356PB2MBTW-VW is able to be configured via Bluetooth to act as a switch, a timer, or a Run on timer. Time Scheduled switching is not able to be achieved by the switch on it's own.

With the addition of a PDL501902 Wiser hub and connecting the Switch via Zigbee, scheduled switching is able to be achieved via automations within the Wiser by SE app.

Alternatively, the PDL356PB10MBTW-VW switch is able to do time scheduled switching as standard when configured via Bluetooth.

Why does the Unit Indicator on C-Bus output units i.e L5512RVF/L5508D1A flashing?

Hide Show

This indicator shows the status of the individual unit. A continuous green light (OK) indicates the mains power is connected. If the indicator is flashing it means that any one of the four channels has been toggled (using the override facility) into a state different to the C-Bus network.

If any of the output channels have been toggled (using override facilities) into a state other than is present on the C-Bus network, this indicator will flash with a 90% on duty cycle.

Can the Wiser Micro Module Dimmer have LED indication?

Hide Show
The Micro module Dimmer cannot be used with LED indication other than having the indicator always on. This is due to the Switch mechanism required for control being a momentary or Bell press type and using the 2nd terminal and a neutral connection would simply have the LED on permanently unless you were pressing the switch in.

Connecting the LED indicator to the ā€˜I’ terminal can create a pathway that interferes with the electrical signal the module is triggered with sometimes causing the switch control to not function or the module to behave erratically.

Connecting the LED indicator to the ā€˜L’ terminal means the module is then actively trying to dim the indicator also and with the led indicators being non-dimmable will cause an error in the module.

New C-Bus relays 55xxRVFs now have a minimum load rating?

Hide Show

The minimum load refers to the minimum voltage/current required to maintain the quality of the relay contacts.

 datasheet

The relays are the same as used in the current C-Bus relays so there is no difference in product spec. The datasheet wanted to provide more information to the customer.
