Frequently Asked Questions
Can the PDL356PB10MBTW-VW be configured as a timer without the Wiser By SE app?
Hide ShowNo, the configuration of timer or time clock functionality needs to be done via Bluetooth using the Wiser by SE app on a mobile device.
Are the Wiser 2AX Switches (PDL356PB2PBTW-VW or PDL356PB2MBTZ-VW) able to do Multi way switching?
Hide ShowNo, The Wiser 2AX switches are only able to be used as a one way switch.
Multi way switching with the Wiser push button switches is able to be done with the 10AX Switches (PDL356PB10MBTW-VW or PDL356PB10MBTZ-VW) and the addition of PDL356PBSSL-VW control link mechanisms.
Can the PDL356PB2MBTW-VW be configured to have scheduled switching?
Hide ShowNo, the PDL356PB2MBTW-VW is able to be configured via Bluetooth to act as a switch, a timer, or a Run on timer. Time Scheduled switching is not able to be achieved by the switch on it's own.
With the addition of a PDL501902 Wiser hub and connecting the Switch via Zigbee, scheduled switching is able to be achieved via automations within the Wiser by SE app.
Alternatively, the PDL356PB10MBTW-VW switch is able to do time scheduled switching as standard when configured via Bluetooth.

Machine Expert Logic Builder .
Please try the below Workarounds to see whether you can connect to Modicon TM262 PLC ,
(1). As per Machine Expert V2.3 Release notes there has been Bug Reported and the workaround is , Deselect the option Encrypted Communication in communication Settings under Device Tree Tab in Controller Selection mode of the Ecostruxure Machine Expert Logic Builder
(2). If the issue still persists after De-selecting the Encrypted Communication (as per workaround (1)) then please follow the below notes ,
As per Machine Expert V2.3 Release Notes there has been a Bug reported , Login with encrypted communication to the Modicon M262 controller is not possible after updating the firmware to V2.2.2. Due to a change in certificate handling in EcoStruxure Machine Expert V2.2.2, encrypted communication does not work when you reuse the previous version of the certificate after upgrade to V2.2.2.
Workaround: Delete the existing certificate by using the Security Screen editor or perform an SD card upgrade to V2.2.2.
I want to put in two-way switching but can’t run the cables between the mechanisms. Can I achieve wireless two-way switching with Wiser Zigbee?
Hide ShowYou need to create two automations for a 2-way:
- when switch A and switch B are ON, turn switch A and switch B ON
- when switch A and switch B are OFF, turn switch A and switch B OFF
This can be expanded to 3-way, 4-way etc by simply adding the other switches into the respective ON and OFF automations.
