Frequently Asked Questions

How to distribute MAXBAR from the main row to other rows keeping the system more professional?

Hide Show
MAXBAR with a neutral terminal block can be used to distribute active and neutral in the row with a main switch. Use the connectors provided with MAXBAR to take active and neutral feed from the row with main switch to other rows. You can follow the same process for other rows in switchboard.
Resi9 faq4

How should the wiring be managed in case of 2 phase or 3 phase circuits using MAXBAR?

Hide Show
2 phase or 3 phase circuits cannot directly be connected through a MAXBAR, however, connections can still be made as shown in the images.

Resi9 faq5

How can MAXBAR be used without using 1 Module space for Terminal Block?

Hide Show
In case there is a need to save on 1 module space, the neutral leg on the left side of the busbar could be cut using an appropriate tool. End caps needs to be reinstalled post cutting.

Install the spare connector provided with the busbar in the neutral terminal of one of the RCBOs/AFDDs & install the neutral cable to this connector.

What is MAXBAR ?

Hide Show
MaxBar is a top feeding comb busbar compatible with Resi9 RCBOs & AFDDs and connects Phase & Neutral directly to the MAXBAR from the Main incoming Switch and NTB.

There are two options available in MAXBAR, the first is a Comb busbars dedicated for 1P+N for rows with a Main Switch (R9XPN115N) and the second  variant is dedicated for 1P+N for rows without a Main switch (R9XPN115)

Resi9 NZ faq3

How can MAXBAR help to save time during switchboard installation ?

Hide Show
MAXBAR removes the need for cutting stripping, twisting and managing cables for feeding RCBO & AFDD on typical installation.
This helps to achieve Up to 2x faster installation speed with MAXBAR compared to traditional method with RCDs & MCBs.Resi9 NZ faq3
